Fridges Buying Guide
Coming in all different sizes and colour options, the conventional upright fridge has changed over the years. Choose from a tall upright, small table top compact, or a standard under counter model. Follow our guide below to help you decide the right model for your circumstances.
Capacity & Type
Choose the height of the fridge that best suits your needs and available space. Decide whether you need a tall upright model with extra storage space, or a conventional under counter model. We measure the capacity of our fridge in litres storage most standard under counter models are around 120 litres capacity.
Freezer Compartment
You can choose whether or not you would like a freezer compartment or ice box in your fridge. Fridges without ice boxes are sometimes referred to as larder fridges and give you that extra storage in the main compartment.
Energy Rating
All fridges carry an energy rating ranging from A to A+++. The more efficiently rated your fridge, the more you save on your bills. Our most efficient fridges can save up to 50% energy compared to the least efficient models, worth bearing in mind when you consider that fridges are usually on 24/7!
Additional Considerations
When choosing your new fridge, it is worth considering additional features and benefits such as the number of fridge shelves and whether or not they are adjustable. You may need to be able to reverse the doors so that they open from left to right or right to left. You may need a model with a flat back design allowing you to fit it flush with the wall. All our models indicate the above specifications for your consideration.
