Microwaves Buying Guides
Whether you use your microwave to simply heat up a ready meal or be more adventurous and try a stab at home baking, we have the full range of microwave ovens to suit your needs. Follow our simple guide to the key features and benefits to look out for when choosing your microwave oven.
Type
Choose from a standard conventional microwave oven, or a combination microwave oven combining traditional heat with microwave technology. Microwave ovens are also available with combined grill elements so again, look out for these should it be one of your requirements.
Capacity
We measure the net capacity of our microwave ovens in litres. Small microwaves start at around 20 litres going up to the larger combination microwave ovens at around 35 litres – big enough to cook a good size roast.
Interior Lining
Microwaves are generally easy to clean with protective painted interior enamel walls or with stainless steel interior walls. Stainless steel interiors, whilst slightly more expensive, are more durable and will not crack or flake – they are also slightly easier to clean.
Control Type
Choose from standard manual dial type controls, electronic push button, or electronic touch control. The flexibility and accuracy of electronic touch control allows you to be precise to the second when timing your cooking.
