Washer Dryers Buying Guide
If you don’t have the space for a separate washing machine and tumble dryer, or you simply want the ability to wash and dry in one go, then a washer dryer may be the answer.
Wash & Dry Capacity
The bigger the capacity, the more you can wash and dry. If you intend to just use the machine to wash, a large capacity drum will mean you can wash more in one go. Look carefully at the wash and dry capacity and remember that if washing and drying in one go, you can only load to a maximum of the drying capacity.
Spin Speed
Speeds are measured in revolutions per minute (RPM). The faster the RPM, the dryer your clothes are once the wash has finished. If you are washing and drying in one go, you will save time, energy, and money with a faster spin speed machine.
Energy Rating
You can do your bit for the environment and save money with a more energy efficient washer dryer. The most efficient machines are rated “A+++” and then go down the scale to “A” dependent on the amount of energy and water they use. With energy bills at their highest ever levels, it’s a good idea to choose an efficient machine.
Quick Wash & Dry
In a busy household, a machine with a quick wash & dry feature is an absolute must. For items that are lightly soiled or for something that is needed quickly, the quick wash and dry programme is ideal.
